What is a great guy?
A great guy is someone you look up to.
A man who can lift his own weight and is strong enough
to admit when he’s wrong.
He’s the nicest guy who ever fired the deadwood at the office.
He is a man who can attend the funerals of three of his children
—yet live an optimistic life.
He is a man who can remain faithful to, and work at staying in love with, the woman he’s been married to for fifty years.
Does this great guy exist?
I know he does.
He is my father.
